Morag Charlton
Morag Charlton was born in Cape Town South Africa. She studied Fine Art at Michaelis School of Fine Art UCT, Ruth Prowse School of Fine Art and the University of New Mexico.
In September, 2001 Morag was artist in residence at the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy.
Between 1996 and 2006 she has had studios at
Harwood Art Center Albuquerque, New Mexico
Antfarm Studios Raleigh, North Carolina
ArtSpace Raleigh, North Carolina where she was a teacher for the Outreach Program and Art as Communication.
Morag is also a set designer and company member of Burning Coal Theatre Company since 1997. Productions include: Einstein’s Dreams, Romeo and Juliet, A Doll’s House, Travesties and The Dead.
Morag currently works between her studio, Atelier du Monestier, in France and her studio in Raleigh North Carolina.
